St Peter’s – Quinquennial Repairs

St Peter’s is an early-13th-century downland church, valued for its simplicity, modest scale and enduring flint-and-timber character.

Our quinquennial works focused on the careful strengthening of the Grade I-listed structure, including the full replacement of the distinctive flint chimney, timber conservation, investigative roof repairs and targeted masonry improvements.

The approach was quiet and considered: essential repairs carried out with sympathy for the building’s understated beauty. Working on St Peter’s was a privilege – a small church with a rare sense of presence.
