Selsey was delivered on a fixed-price basis against a carefully programmed 38-week schedule; Harting Down was won through tender and run on a cost-plus basis. Whichever structure is agreed, the same steady organisation and clear communication carry the project through to completion.

AIM's work spans everything from full new-build homes to significant extensions and improvements on existing properties. At Appledown Cottage in Compton, what began as a partial preservation became a near-complete rebuild behind the original heritage facade. At Rowlands Castle, a double extension resolved a series of unusual structural and drainage complexities to reshape the whole property. Whatever the scale, each project is approached with the same disciplined, considered process.

Working With Architects From Concept to Completion

AIM often becomes involved before a single design is finalised, working alongside architects, structural engineers, quantity surveyors, interior designers and landscape designers to shape a scheme collaboratively. On a Victorian vicarage in Arundel, AIM was brought in even before the property was purchased, carrying out early condition assessments and budgeting, then working through more than 400 plan revisions over a 12-month programme with the full design team. It's this depth of collaboration, from the earliest conversations to the final finish, that defines how we work with architects.
