Full House Refurbishment with Double Extension – Rowlands Castle

This project began with a full set of architectural drawings, but it quickly became clear the clients’ true aspirations hadn’t yet been fully realised.

AIM stepped into a Design & Build role, working collaboratively with the homeowners to refine details, solve practical challenges and shape a scheme that better reflected their vision.

The house presented a number of unusual structural and environmental complexities – including two previously unknown wells, radon mitigation requirements, and drainage constraints caused by the surrounding topography. Each issue was resolved through steady planning, clear communication, and thoughtful engineering.

The completed home is one of AIM’s most significant transformations: a property renewed in both form and function, where extensions and reconfigured spaces now feel coherent, natural and entirely aligned to the way the clients wished to live.
