Set on a compact coastal plot in West Wittering, this project required the complete renewal of a modest three-bedroom home, approached with care due to the tight boundaries, limited access and exposure to the coastal environment.

Although the external footprint changed very little, the house was essentially rebuilt. Only two original side walls were retained, with the remainder reconstructed to modern standards while respecting the constrained site. The clients were closely involved in the design of the interiors, and the build needed to support a phased and evolving aesthetic vision – requiring thoughtful sequencing, clear communication and careful detailing at every stage.

The completed home feels entirely transformed: light, calm and precisely tailored to the way the clients wanted to live. It is a small site delivered with the same care and discipline as our largest projects – a coastal home renewed with longevity and quiet refinement.
